Show & Tell (take 6)

Opps. :? My bad.  Here are three more pics.

Another view from the other side of the pass.

Looking back from whence we came. I live back there somewhere. :P

I'm not sure if this pic was taken the same day or not, but it was the last pic on the camera.

That last one’s not the greatest pic, but we couldn’t resist.  We had just left McDonald’s and were turning at the light when it was taken.  It was super awesome in person.  This pic doesn’t do this sunset justice.  You’ll just have to take my word for it. ;)

  1. Those fiery clouds! Now that’s beautiful.

Just minutes before they were even more amazing. We were doing a bunch of oohing and aahing when we came out of McDonald’s. The camera was in the car, so the picture taking was an after thought.

  2. I think the pic is cool! And, I will take your word for it. How are you doing?

My butt burns. I think I’m eating too much salsa. I’m doing ok I guess. Hating life in general, but other than that, it’s all good. ;) Thanks for checking in on me. This is gonna take some time.

  4. That sunset is gorgeous, I’m sure it was even more in person. My grandma and some other family live in Tuscon, my dad moved there when he was nine. I haven’t been there in about six years. We are hoping to get to visit soon. I lived in Arizona City with Tall Chick for a little while, but ended up moving back to New Mexico. Once, I was driving home and I was looking at what I thought was a big round lighted sign for a motel then I realized it was the moon. It was so close and so huge and full, I swear I could have reached up and touched it. It was so beautiful. I liked living there.

I’m very happy to call Arizona my home, but I know there’s lots of beauty to be seen out your way too. :) Driving down I-40 through New Mexico is simply gorgeous from one end to the other. Especially the western half. Truly “the land of enchantment”. You’ll have to give a shout if you’re ever in the area. I probably wouldn’t need to show you around (but I could and would), but it would be fun just to say “hi” in person. :D

  5. Oh, I love those pics! And I hear you – the camera never can really do it justice but the color is fantastic in that last one so we can at least appreciate that! :) Thanks for sharing, Peter – I love seeing through your camera!

I’ve enjoyed sharing. :) I’m hoping this will motivate me to drag the camera and my butt out for more walks and hikes. ;)

  6. Sure I’ll let you know when we come for a visit…it would be nice to say hello in person. Have you ever been through Albuquerque in October during the Balloon Fiesta? That is a site to see. It was one of my dad’s favorites things to go see, we used to go have breakfast on his birthday and then go watch the hot air balloons go up…now I do it with my kids.

I’ve been through Albuquerque during every season, maybe even every month, but never for the Balloon Fiesta. Sounds like fun. It’s nice that you share that tradition with the kids. :)
